Toronto (Canada) | Digital learning is increasingly taking on a completely different shape today than it has been known for decades from LMS & Co. As part of the eLearning AWARD 2020, for example, the eLearning Journal awarded a prize in the “Smartwatch Learning” category to a project by heating specialists Viessmann. The central advantage of this type of learning is that maintenance engineers can look something up while they are working, while still having their hands free for work. This shows that it is becoming increasingly important to have a look at the relevant technology. In this context, it is also important for eLearning managers in the corporate sector to know how the status quo is changing about “wearable technology”. According to a recently published market study by the Canadian analyst Technavio, the global market for wearable technology is expected to grow by an average of 13% per annum between 2020 and 2024 and thus by a further 35.48 billion US Dollars over the forecast period.
The APAC region has good growth prospects, according to Technavio’s analysis, 40% of the growth forecast for the coming years will come from this region. A particularly effective growth driver in the “Wearable Technology Market” is Smartwatches.
