Pune (India) | According to a new analysis by the market researcher MarketsandMarkets, the global market for virtual classrooms in the forecast period 2019 to 2023 is expected to grow at an average annual rate of 16.2 %. While the corresponding market MarketsandMarkets forecast an increase to 9.3 billion US dollars in 2018, Indian analysts expect it to rise to 19.6 billion US dollars by the end of 2023. Time-synchronous eLearning, for example in the form of webinars, will be realized using virtual classrooms.
In its 200-page survey, MarketsandMarkets sees the market segment of in-company education in particular as the growth driver for virtual classrooms, although universities have so far been responsible for the majority of sales. To date, North America has accounted for the largest share of sales in the virtual classroom market and is likely to continue to grow in market size. In relative terms, however, the Asia-Pacific region and Europe are likely to grow much more strongly. Especially great opportunities for market growth of virtual classroom software currently exist, says MarketsandMarkets, primarily in emerging markets such as India, Singapore, Malaysia and the Middle East.
